Antigua

Antigua boasts of having 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. This partly volcanic and partly coral island is surrounded by white sand beaches, which are almost entirely reef-protected. Most of the major hotels are on the beachfront, and offer excellent snorkeling and all forms of water sports. Antigua also offers tennis, cricket, duty-free shopping and lively nightlife. The two main events in Antigua are the sailing week (end of April/early May) and Carnival, which is celebrated at the end of July.
